I started this blog like 6 months ago, but then I never posted here for some reason. So, I thought today was a good day to start. I'm hoping this blog will keep relatives and friends up to date on our family happenings, events, etc.
So...here it goes!
Small Groups - Jasper Bible Church
I joined a small group (two years ago, I think) when Danielle Wilson encouraged me to participate in the Why Small Groups study at our church. I was reluctant to join in. I was very nervous about sharing my testimony. I was afraid I was the only person in the group who wouldn't feel comfortable praying for someone else...ALOUD, in front of others! But I soon learned, that I was not alone.
In two weeks I will finish my fourth small group. Every time I join a new small group I remember how wonderful it is to spend time with other women. Women who all have a passion for God, trying to be the best mothers and wives that we can be and growing closer to Christ through our studies. I've made so many wonderful friends through this process. I can't imagine where my life would be, how my walk would be different had I not started that first small group. If you are not currently involved in a small group, or even in a church...I would HIGHLY recommend you join a small group at your local church. Never in my life have I felt so un-unique...in a good way. It's comforting to know that we have struggles, we are all fighting internal battles and we are all trying to be and do our best as Christians.
